Bloomington, Indiana (WAVE) - Indiana beat Hillsdale College 79-39 in the Hoosiers second preseason exhibition game on Monday night in Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers held Hillsdale to 24% shooting in the game, including 14.3% in the second half (4-28).
"If they're going to be great, they have to understand that it happens with defense and rebounding, and it happens with multiple stops, and that's what has to happen for us," IU head coach Tom Crean said.
Yogi Ferrell led Indiana with 14 points, and fellow returnee Will Sheehey added 12. Freshman Noah Vonleh chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds, and Troy Williams finished with 9. Jeremy Hollowell added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Twelve Hoosiers scored in the game.\
Indiana led 33-24 at the half, and outscored Hillsdale 46-15 in the second half.
The Hoosiers tip off the 2013-14 season on Friday, November 8, hosting Chicago State. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
