LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man is facing charges after police say he threw a woman into the windshield of his car during a domestic argument.

According to an arrest warrant, Herbert Leroy Haire, also known as Dominic C. Williams, 35, got into an argument with the woman on November 1 after finding her inside an establishment. After bringing the woman outside, the warrant said Haire threw the woman into the car windshield, then into his car.

As the couple drove back to the home they shared, Haire grabbed the woman's face and squeezed it hard enough to cause cuts inside the woman's mouth. Haire also grabbed the woman by the throat.

Once home, the woman ran inside the house and where Haire hit her over the head with a large mirror, breaking it.

The woman called 911, but passed out while on the line with dispatchers.

Haire was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, assault – domestic violence and terroristic threatening.

The woman was treated for her injuries at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
