According to the Smith County Sheriff's Department, a
man and woman were arrested at a residence on CR 112 for possession and
distribution of crack cocaine. The arrests happened at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
The pair were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed by Judge Jack Skeen and served by the Smith County Sheriff's office and two members of the DPS Special Response team.
"A search of the residence turned up significant
quantities of crack cocaine, a loaded firearm and cash," said Smith County
Sheriff Larry Smith. "Both of these individuals already have extensive
criminal records. I want this to send a message that drug dealing is not tolerated
