Man robs Walgreens for controlled substances, police searching for suspect

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed a Walgreens pharmacy.

According to Louisville Metro police, on Wednesday a man entered the Walgreens located at 2368 Frankfort Avenue and handed a cashier a note indicating he had a gun and demanding controlled substances from the pharmacy.

Once the suspect was given the medication he fled through the front door.

Police believe the same man is responsible for a pharmacy robbery at the Walgreens located at 934 Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana and a third robbery on October 26 at the Walgreens at 12101 Shelbyville Road.

The suspect is described as being between 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5'8" to 5'9" tall and weighing 160 pounds. 

Kentuckiana Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
