$120,000 check to be presented during car seat safety clinic

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Kohl's is set to write a check to Kosair Children's Hospital for more than $120,000.

The money will be presented on Monday at 10 a.m. during a car seat safety clinic.

The clinic is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kohl's off Preston Highway in Louisville at 11811 Standiford Plaza Dr. There is also a safety check at the Kohl's located at 7915 Bardstown Rd. from 1 to 4 p.m. Car seats will be checked by certified technicians from Kosair Children's Hospital.

A new initiative called Kohl's Cares High Five Prevention Program is hosting the clinics. The program aims to lower the number of avoidable injuries involving children.

An oversized check for $123,805 will be presented to the Children's Hospital Foundation in support of programs at Kosair Children's Hospital. Over the past seven years, Kohl's has awarded more than one million dollars to the foundation.
