Five arrested during meth lab bust

JENNINGS COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – Five people were taken into custody after a HazMat team was called to a working meth lab in Jennings County.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office, deputies served a search warrant in the 4000 block of North Sunset Glades Boulevard on Friday night.

Once inside the home deputies said they found a large active methamphetamine production operation in the basement along with numerous other items used to manufacture and sell meth, marijuana, paraphernalia and several syringes.

Officers arrested Kimberly Murray, 52, of North Vernon, Kenneth Barnett, 41 of Columbus, Thomas Tucker, 23, of Freetown, Katlyn Vera 21, of North Vernon, and Jarod Nolker, 20, of North Vernon and charged them with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of two or more precursors, maintain a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of syringes.

Nolker was also charged with theft and forgery during the search.

All five were booked into the Jennings County Jail.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected to be made.
