NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – A brazen armed serial robber was caught on camera and now police are trying to hunt him down.

The most recent happened at a Subway restaurant in New Albany.

"It's kind of scary thinking that you come in here to your everyday work and something like that can actually happen," said Josh Weible, Glenmary Subway employee.

Weible has worked at the Glenmary Subway on Bardstown Road for almost two years. It's just one of three Subways targeted by what police believe is the same man, a calm, cool and collected criminal.

"My guess would be either somebody who thought this out or had done robberies like this before," said Captain Ken Fudge, New Albany Police.

Fudge said he wasn't just calm, he believes the robber knew what he was doing when he entered the Subway restaurant on State Street last week.

"This individual came walking in navy blue overall type clothing with a hoody and black baseball cap. The baseball cap has the Bacardi logo on it and you can see the words Bacardi," said Fudge.

The suspect also had a dust mask covering his mouth and a patch over his eye, possibly from a medical procedure.

First police said he ordered a 12 inch ham sub, but when it came time to pay that's when he pulled out the gun.

"When the money was going to exchange hands for the transaction for the purchase of the sandwich is when he displayed the gun," said Fudge.

He then passed the clerk a note demanding money. After the clerk fills his bag, the suspect's off with his sandwich in tow.

"In the Louisville cases it appears that he did the exact same thing as he did here at the New Albany store," said Fudge.

Those two robberies happened on November 2. Both stores were located on Bardstown Road, one in Fern Creek.

For Weible, he just hopes they catch the man. "That's what I'm hoping for they catch the person and give everybody else some ease of mind when they come into work everyday," he said.
