LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – When Louisville Metro Police responded to a burglary in progress call, they didn't have to look far to find their suspect.
When officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Reasor Avenue on the afternoon of November 15, witnesses told them the burglary suspect was still inside. However, police found the house empty.
After detectives canvassed the neighborhood, witnesses who saw Jacob. L. McCullum, 18, knock of the door of the burglarized home, then go into the back of the house.
When detectives went to McCullum's home, they found he had a fresh cut to his wrist. After being read his rights, police say McCullum admitted to the burglary, but said he wasn't the only one involved.
McCullum agreed to let detectives search his home. They found all of the items stolen from the neighboring house. McCullum even showed police were the TV set that had been taken was located.
McCullum was booked at Louisville Metro Corrections on a burglary charge.
