LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A domestic argument lead to the arrest of a man after punched his pregnant girlfriend. James L. Blais, 28, was arrested by Jeffersontown police on November 18.
An arrest report says Blais' girlfriend told police that she had locked herself in a bathroom out of fear when the two got into an argument. The woman said when Blais punched through the closed door she was hit in the chest and knocked to the floor.
The woman, who is five months pregnant, left the apartment and called police.
Jeffersontown officers found Blais hiding in the apartment. Police said Blais refused their commands, became belligerent and made threats toward them.
Blais was charged with assault - domestic violence and terroristic threatening. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections.
