LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A high school student police caught smoking marijuana behind the building ran from officers and was arrested on multiple charges.

Just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer said he saw Taylor Wright, 19, and another student smoking weed in the woods behind Fern Creek Traditional High School in Louisville.

According to an arrest report, when the officer told them to stop, they both took off running through the wooded area and continued to ignore commands to quit.

When police caught up with them, they found a 5" tactical knife with a locking blade in Wright's backpack.

The report indicates she admitted to carrying the knife and running from police.
