Man allegedly stole $60,000 worth of property; sold for scrap metal

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man was arrested for stealing expensive property from a business and selling it for scrap metal.

According to an arrest warrant, Matthew Conklin, 21, and several other people, broke into IPM Services, a business on Linda Lane.

On two separate occasions, once on October 18 and once on October 27, Conklin allegedly took a heavy duty tripod, fluid ends of water blasters and other property. He then sold some of the stolen property to scrap yards.

The value of the stolen property is over $60,000. Conklin is being charged with burglary.
