Holiday event to honor fallen Bardstown officer

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) – The first day of December will shine light and collect toys to benefit the children of fallen Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis.

The 2013 Benham Family Christmas Light Show will take place at 128 Glenview Drive in Creek Chase Subdivision.

At 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, the Benham's will hold a special tribute will be held to honor Officer Ellis who was ambushed and murdered on his way home after his shift on May 25.

During the tribute toys and gift cards for Officer Ellis' widow, Amy and their two sons, Parker and Hunter, may be donated.

The Benham Family Christmas Light Show will run nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through December 31. For more information, click here.
