LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man with an existing head injury was hit in the head by a trio of robbers, police say, and at least one of the suspects knew of the victim's medical condition.

According to an arrest report, Kimberly Houchin, 30, and two unknown accomplices hit the man in the head with a blunt object and then struck and kicked him multiple times. They then took the victim's wallet, phone and cash, police said. The total loss to the victim is more than $500.

The incident happened November 4.

Houchin is charged with 1st degree robbery.

Houchin and the victim know each other. The victim recently had multiple head surgeries, and police said Houchin knew he was vulnerable to being struck in the head.

The victim was transported from the scene by EMS to Jewish Hospital Southwest for treatment.
