LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - It started as an argument over an issue with the children and ended with a man jumping across rooftops, according to police.

Louisville Metro police officers were called to the scene of a domestic issue at a home in the 100 block of Pope Avenue early Thursday morning.

An arrest report states James Andrew Lanawski blocked the entrance to a room, daring the victim to try to get by him.

Police said Lanawski left through a second floor window before officers arrived and jumped from one neighbor's roof to another in his attempt to get away.

When he hit the ground, officer said, Lanawski began running down an alley, ignoring commands by police to stop.

Officers later found a large bottle of alcohol where Lanawski exited the home through a window.

He is charged with 2nd degree fleeing from police, menacing and alcohol intoxication.
