LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1. Freezing drizzle possible today – There is a chance of freezing precipitation this morning and some light snow accumulation tonight. The WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team isn't expecting the kind of weather we had over the weekend, but it's tracking this round of winter weather and will keep you up to date.

2. School closings – Many schools are closed or on a delay this morning across WAVE Country. See if your school or organization is closed today by checking the complete list on wave3.com.

3. School shooting plan - 18-year-old Nicholas Bain is accused of threatening to shoot and kill students at Old Mill Elementary School in Mount Washington, and police say they believe the threat is credible.

4. Salvation Angel Tree - The deadline to adopt an angel through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program was yesterday, but some local stores are stepping up in hopes of getting the forgotten angels adopted. Approximately 4,000 angels are left with the Salvation Army of Louisville. Tuesday through Thursday of this week, angels can be adopted at specific Walmart locations: Hurstbourne Lane, Westport Road, Middletown and Bashford Manor.

5. Be a Santa to a Senior – Home Instead Senior Care sponsors Be a Santa to a Senior. Spread some Christmas cheer by visiting BeaSantatoaSenior.com to find a participating local store where you can shop for a senior and drop off the presents for them.

6. Chili's restaurants help Toys For Tots – Today Chili's will donate 10% of its sales to Toys For Tots. To make sure your lunch or dinner counts toward the donation, you'll need to print off the event flier and take it with you when you dine.

7. Shop with a Hero – Meijer stores and Jeffersonville Police are teaming up to help make some kids' Christmas a little brighter with their annual Shop with a Hero today. Around 20 children will be treated like royalty with the help of Meijer and JPD.

8. KFC Yum! Center – The Louisville Arena Authority meets this morning at 9 a.m. for its December session. The public is welcome. They are expected to release an update on the financial state of the KFC Yum! Center.

9. Red Kettle Campaign The Salvation Army annual Red Kettle Campaign is still going strong. Please give to the cause when you see those red kettles at area Kroger stores, mall and other locations.

10. Bridge blasting – Blasting to prepare for the new tunnel in east Louisville is scheduled today at about 11:30 a.m. and again at around 2:15 p.m., as long as weather allows it. Traffic on KY 841 and U.S. 42 will be stopped before and during the blasting events.
