Former JCPS student arrested in connection to Lexington homicide

LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - A former Jefferson County Public Schools student was arrested Tuesday in connection to a murder at a Lexington gas station.

Lexington police said a warrant for the arrest of Travis Michael Bredhold, 18, was filed Tuesday afternoon. He was picked up at Fayette Mall. A Lexington police officer who was on duty and detailed to the mall made the arrest without incident.

According to investigators, Mukeshbhai Patel, 51, was found unresponsive at the Marathon station on Alexandra Drive in Lexington around 3:15 Monday afternoon. He was rushed to UK Medical Center where he later died.

Bredhold is charged with murder and robbery. His Facebook page says he once attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School.
