OXFORD, OH (FOX19) -

Four people were arrested, including a major meth trafficker, following an operation in Oxford on Monday evening.

Brian Polly, 39, had been the target of meth-trafficking investigations by the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Unit and Detectives from the Hamilton Police Department VICE Unit over the past several months.

A search warrant was executed around 4 p.m. Monday at Polly's residence, located in the 3000 block of Lanes Mill Road. As the investigation unfolded, police say that both meth and pseudoephedrine (a main ingredient in the production of meth) were discovered and confiscated.

Officers say that it did not appear that meth had been manufactured at the residence.

Polly has been charged with felony counts of illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, trafficking and possession of drugs.

Three others were also arrested at the scene. Chancey Dougherty, 38 on Monroe, has been charged with a felony count of illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.  Joshua G. Rhodus, 33 of Hamilton, has been charged with possession of drugs.

Also arrested at the scene was Thomas Fisher, 39 of Cincinnati, who was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from Hamilton County.

The investigation is ongoing. Officers say additional charges may be filed.
