LMPD: Man attempted to rob cash advance business

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police are asking for help to identify a man who allegedly tried to rob a cash advance business.

According to police, the man went into the First American Cash Advance, located at 5751 Preston Highway at 11:45 a.m. Monday.

Once inside officers said he pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money. The employee ran to the back of the business and then the man ran out the front door without any of the businesses money.

Police describe the suspect as being 6' tall and weighing 180 pounds. They estimate he is between 30 to 40 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD anonymous tip line at (502) 574 – LMPD.
