LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – WAVE 3 News pulled at heart strings with a story of a now three legged pooch looking for a little compassion.

During the summer, Frodo the pit bull was found chained to a fence with his muzzle wrapped in duct tape and significant wounds covering his body.

After being rescued by The Arrow Fund, a fully recovered Frodo is making his debut Thursday night at the Leslie H. Spetz Custom Framing and Gallery on Lime Kiln Lane in the Glenview Point Shopping Center off Highway 42.

Artist Connie Sandusky was inspired by Frodo and created seven original oil paintings that she donated to The Arrow Fund. Sandusky asked the organization to use the paintings for public speaking events and educational opportunities.

Frodo is the guest of honor at the artist's reception on December 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The free event will include light refreshments.
