HARRISON COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - At least two people including a 3-year-old girl were killed Thursday morning when a car crossed the median and slammed into an SUV on Interstate 64 in Harrison County, Indiana.

An infant was flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Police said a Nissan traveling west on I-64 crossed the median and hit an eastbound Mercury Mountaineer. Four people were inside the Mountaineer: a mother, a grandmother who was driving, the 3-year-old and the infant.

The man driving the Nissan was the vehicle's only occupant. He was killed in the crash along with the 3-year-old girl.

The accident happened at 9:11 a.m. near the 106 mile marker.
