LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Pleasure Ridge Park High School student faces felony charges after causing a violent disturbance at the school, police said.
According to an arrest report, Diyonte Nameer Williams, 18, became angry because there was "too much pedestrian traffic in the hallways" at school on Thursday.
Police said while walking down a stairwell at school, Williams punched a fellow student in the back of the head, knocking him and a witness to the floor. The arrest report says the incident "was extremely dangerous and could have caused death or serious physical injury."
Investigators said several other students were pushed during the incident and that Williams' actions caused alarm to people in the stairwell and hallway.
Williams is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct.
