LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend during a fight over their LG&E bill while a child was in the home.
According to an arrest report, Michael W. Sleets, 25, and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation over the bill when Sleets pushed the woman against a wall, struck her with his fist five or six times and fled with her rent money, which amounted to $288.
Police said the victim, who is three-months pregnant, suffered facial cuts, bruising and swelling during the incident on Iowa Street Thursday night.
