CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) - Bass Pro Shops in Clarksville opened up its doors after-hours Sunday night from 7p.m until 10 p.m.

During that time police officers, firefighters, paramedics, military personnel and veterans, were recognized and thanked.  The first responders got some well-deserved first-class treatment.

"It's great to be able to give back," said manager Rod Merten.

To show appreciation local heroes enjoyed activities, shopping, and discounts.  Activities such as slot car racing and remote control cars and trains were a big hit with children.
