LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman is accused of making illegal purchases with a credit card stolen out of a shopper's purse. Police said the victim had left her purse in her shopping cart at the Bashford Manor Walmart.

Marilyn S. Thomas, 58, is accused of using the stolen credit card to purchase $57.13 worth of gas and a $159.62 gift card at the Speedway on Bishop Lane on August 21. The arrest report states Thomas used her Speedy Rewards card and signed the victim's name on the card reader machine when she made the purchases.

Police said Roberts was identified through Speedway surveillance video. She is charged with second-degree forgery and fraudulent use of a credit card.
