LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – NBC's The Sing
Off has us all humming a tune and admiring the talent of the groups who can
sing a cappella.
The Kentucky group, The AcoUstiKats,
is drawing a lot of attention both for their voices and their fun style. Monday, they brought it to WAVE 3 Sunrise,
singing and even trying to do the weather.
They're much more comfortable on stage
in front of a national audience.
They started as 12 guys from the
University of Kentucky. "We've gotten so close over the last few months
just with filming the show and performing together and it's been a really
awesome experience for all of us," Jordan Lindsey said.
All of the guys in the group are part
of the men's choir at UK.
"Basically it's a subsection of that and we audition every semester
and we make a little group out of it and we've been doing it for years
now," said Jeremy Michael Lewis.
"The Sing-Off" champion as well as some
of the other groups will be in concert at the Louisville Palace in March. It's still not clear if the AcoUstiKats will
be among that group. Tickets go on sale
The show continues Monday night at 10 p.m. on NBC, right
after the two hour long live finale kickoff of "The Voice."
