LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Kentucky lawmaker is working to lower the state's blood alcohol limit.
Representative Hubert Collins is working to lower the legal limit from the current level of 0.08 to 0.05 following a recommendation from the National Transportation Safety Board.
Drivers we spoke with said they agree with Collins and hope to see his idea become law.
"I think it's great, I think there should be, I think if you have any alcohol in your system, you should get arrested for it," said driver Megan Saddler. "It would get the people who have been drinking off the road even faster."
Collins is planning to introduce the bill in the next legislative session in January 2014.
