LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - He is one of the hottest coaching names in the country, rumored for jobs from Texas and the NFL, but Charlie Strong is focused on getting his University of Louisville team ready for the December 28 Russell Athletic Bowl.

Strong is just finishing up his fourth season on the Cards sideline, and has led UofL to back-to-back 11 win seasons, the first time in school history that's happened.

He is used to the job speculation, but showed his hand last December, turning down a lucrative offer from Tennessee to stay at UofL.

"You're always going to get it from recruits and you're always going to get it from other coaches across the country, because they're going to use against you in recruiting because, he won't be there, and this is going to happen, look at the coaches that have been, they have left, but we have something, we can build something special here, and that's what it's all about is just building our own program and putting our own signature on the program," he said.

To hear more about the Cards from Coach Strong himself, including his thoughts on Teddy Bridgewater and the decision his star quarterback has ahead of him, watch his raw interview as he sat down with WAVE 3 Sports Director Kent Taylor Tuesday afternoon.
