LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man was arrested Friday for assaulting his girlfriend and trashing a hotel room.

According to an arrest report, Brian Bailey, 42, and his girlfriend were staying at the Town Suites on Preston Highway.

His girlfriend said the two were arguing when Bailey began damaging the hotel room. He then grabbed the victim around both arms forcefully, leaving red marks and bruises on both arms. Bailey apparently left the room and the victim locked the door behind him.

The victim told police Bailey forced his way through the window and hit her in the back of the head. Upon leaving the room, Bailey destroyed the hard plastic cover of the fire alarm which caused the alarm to go off.

The report states that after being placed under arrest, Bailey looked directly at the officer and said, "I'll beat your ass to death."

He continued to make statements about hitting the officer until he was in the cop car. Once in the car, he violently kicked the back of the officer's seat and refused to wear a seat belt.

Bailey is being charged with assault, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct.
