LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Hot pizzas were served to several people in need Friday.

Students from the Immaculata Classical Academy helped Little Caesars hand out the food at the Franciscan Shelter located in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood.

The shelter was just one of many stops Little Caesars Love Kitchen will make to feed the homeless.

Little Caesars Franchise Owner Mike Michalak said, "Through this weekend, we're serving here today, we'll be at St. Vincent DePaul this evening, five locations this weekend, we'll serve over 2,000 meals by the time Sunday ends."

The Love Kitchen was created in 1985 to help the homeless and natural disaster victims.
