LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - According to the National Retail Federation, as of last week, only half of Americans finished holiday shopping.

A few major retailers like Toys-R-us, Kohl's and Macy's are making accommodations by offering customers around-the-clock shopping. Those stores will be open 24-hours a day, until Christmas Eve.

Last-minute shoppers Tina and Tim Courtney said they were able to snag some deals at the last minute.

"We came here to buy two or three items possibly and we ended buying four pair of shoes and a bunch of stuff... sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants," said Tim Courtney.

Tina Courtney said their strategy was to find a store where they could do some one-stop shopping.  "We love Nike, all of our kids are in sports, we have three children so we are just trying to last minute finish up," she added.

Last-minute shopper James Harrell told WAVE 3 that he regrets waiting until the last minute. Harrell said he saw a fight break out inside of a Ross store.  "It's crazy, people are in there pushing and shoving and arguing and it's too many people," he said.

Harrell added, "Next year I'll make sure I do it ahead of time."
