Police searching for suspect in Sunday morning robbery
TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
Police are searching for a suspect in relation to a robbery at a Tyler gas station Sunday morning.
Tyler police responded to the Valero gas station in the 6500 block of South Broadway at 11:53 A.M. Sunday.
Officers on the scene said they spoke to the clerk who said a male subject entered the store and demanded money from the register. That clerk said the suspect did not display any weapons during the robbery.
The clerk described the suspect as a slender man, 5'8" tall wearing a blue and black plaid jacket with a light colored hoodie underneath. The man was also wearing blue jeans, black and white sneakers and blue gloves.
Surveillance video shows the man was also wearing a mask covering most of his face below his eye line. The store owner also added that the clerk believe the man had somehow masked his voice with an electronic device.
Surveillance shows the suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000.
