3 apps to help you keep your New Year's resolution

If you are resolving to make yourself better in 2014, there's an app for that.

NBC's PC Mike Wendland suggests the Lose It! app for anyone looking to lose weight and get in shape. It is free and works on computers and most smart phones and tablets. You can use the app to count calories with its database of calorie and nutrition info and also track your fitness goals.

If you're looking to get your finances in order, Wendland prefers the free Mint app for Apple and Android devices. You can use it to keep track of all your accounts in one place.

Do you have a bad habit you're looking to break in 2014? Wendland says 21habit is the app you need to keep your resolution to quit smoking , get more sleep, or anything else. You pay $21 and each day you succeed in keeping your resolution, you get a dollar back.
