LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) – Police in Lexington are continuing to look for a 32-year-old man who went missing one week ago.

According to police Alex Johnson's girlfriend told them she was talking to him on the phone on December 20 when there was a knock on his door. She then said he hung up and has never called her back.

Johnson's family said they knew something was wrong when he was supposed to go to their home in Bowling Green on Saturday, but never came.

"The last few days they have just been the biggest nightmare, imaginable," said his sister, Cayce Johnson. "When he says he's gonna do something or be somewhere he does it and this is not like him, whatsoever."

Police said Johnson's disappearance is suspicious.

Phone records show Johnson has not used his phone since the night he hung up with his girlfriend.

Anyone with information in Johnson's disappearance is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
