LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police say a man allegedly swerving through downtown Louisville streets was under the influence of drugs with his 3 year old son in the car.

Deonte D.  Neal, 28, of Louisville, faces several charges after his arrest early Sunday morning in the 700 block of W. Main Street.

The arrest slip says officers watched Neal weaving and "switching lanes in a reckless manner." When they stopped him, officers said Neal and his vehicle smelled of marijuana. They found baggies of heroin and cocaine stuffed under the headliner upholstery.

A records check revealed outstanding warrants for Neal's arrest and that he was driving on a suspended operator's license. According to the police report, the 3 year old was asleep in the front seat and not restrained.

Neal is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a minor and reckless driving.
