Mesa police said a 39-year-old man missing since New Year's Eve and believed to be suicidal was found unharmed in the Gold Canyon area Thursday.
Tommy Hacker was last heard from via text messages that alluded to suicide, said Sgt. Tony Landato.
Hacker's cell phone was turned off and had not been heard from since, Landato said.
Police told media about 7 p.m. Hacker had been found.
