Man killed in New Year's hit-and-run identified

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield police have identified the man hit and killed on Boston Road early New Year's morning.

Derek Russell, 25, was killed while he rode his bike.

Police have also found the Ford F-150 they say hit Russell and drove away.

That truck has been impounded and officers say they're working toward making an arrest.
