The Kurdistan Regional Government will use the 12 MD 530F and two MD 902 Explorer helicopters to provide support to the KRG Ministry of Interior for airborne law enforcement, firefighting missions and medical evacuation as the region builds out its infrastructure, according to an MD Helicopters news release.

None of the 14 are military helicopters, according to the release.
