TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A broken water line is affecting traffic on Ajo Highway, west of Tucson.

Eastbound traffic on Ajo Highway is being detoured south on South Camino Verde to West Valencia Road. Westbound traffic is passing, but at a reduced speed limit of 25 mph.

Repairs are expected to take up to eight hours. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.

The cause of the break in a 6" potable water line has not been determined.

One business in the area is experiencing service disruption.
