Frigid cold causing power outages in parts of northeast Arkansas

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The temperatures are chilly to say the least and now some areas are experiencing power outages.

Clay County Electric Cooperative is experiencing a disruption in service at Pocahontas. According to an automated phone message, the company knows about the outage and is working to restore power.

It is not known how many of those customers are without power as of Monday morning. If you have a power outage to report, call (870) 892-5251 for the Clay County Electric Cooperative Pocahontas office.

Entergy Arkansas Inc. is experiencing some outages west of Harrisburg and Bono.

There are outages being reported for Craighead Electric Cooperative northwest of Jonesboro around the Earle area.

And North Arkansas Electric Cooperative has outages reported just near Salem.
