Charlie Strong to be formally introduced at University of Texas on Monday

AUSTIN, TX (WAVE) - Newly departed University of Louisville head football coach Charlie Strong will be formally introduced Monday in Austin as the new football coach at the University of Texas.

Strong and his family arrived in Austin Sunday afternoon. WAVE 3 News will carry a portion of his 12 p.m. EST speech live during Monday's edition of Listens Live! and it will be streamed live in its entirety on wave3.com and the free WAVE 3 News and WAVE 3 Weather mobile apps.

Strong replaces Mack Brown, who won 158 games in 16 years as the Longhorns' coach, including the 2005 National Championship.

The search for Strong's replacement at UofL, where he coached the Cardinals for four years, is underway.
