LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Old Louisville.

According to an arrest report, the robbery took place at 12:50 a.m. January 5 at 6th Street and Ormsby Avenue.

Police said the victim had delivered a pizza to a home in the 600 block of W. Ormsby and was returning to his vehicle when a man pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money. After getting the money, the delivery driver was ordered to sit in his car while the suspect made his getaway.

Once the suspect had left, the driver called police. Officers located the suspected robber a short time later at 7th and Oak, just one block away from the scene of the crime.

Laquan N. Mosby, 23, of Louisville, is charged with one count of robbery. Police said Mosby had on him the cash taken during the robbery and the handgun used to commit the crime.
