LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man police say was trying to kill another man fired a shot into a house with two people and a baby inside.

On January 4, police arrested Kyle McCormick, 19, for shooting at a man multiple times while threatening to kill him on December 19, 2013.

Police said McCormick and the victim got into a fight several hours earlier which escalated the situation when the suspect's "gun was brought to him."

According to an arrest report, McCormick fired at the victim multiple times but missed. Detectives said one bullet went through a second story window in the 300 block of N. 26th Street in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville.

Police discovered the bullet traveled through two interior walls before becoming lodged in a third interior wall. Two adults and an infant who police said was about two months old at the time were in the residence when the bullet came in through the window.

No one was injured.

McCormick is charged with three counts of felony wanton endangerment and one count of attempted murder.
