LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman was shot three times and left for dead after a robbery suspect didn't get what he wanted, police said.

Louisville Metro Police officers arrested Deveron Shively, 22, for the crime. The incident was reported on December 20 but does not indicate a specific place or time. Shively was arrested at 5 p.m. on January 7.

According to an arrest warrant, Shively fired three bullets at the victim hitting her in the side of the face, upper torso and arm. Police believe the suspect had other people with him.

Officers said Shively demanded money from the victim and when she denied having any, he shot her, took her cell phone and left the scene.

The victim managed to make her way to a nearly Walgreen's where someone called the police. She was treated at University Hospital and has since been released.

Shively was charged with first degree robbery and attempted murder. No other arrests have been made.
