LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Metro Arson investigators have arrested two 13 year old juveniles for setting a fire that injured a Louisville firefighter.

Because of their age, the names of the juveniles were not released.

The fire was reported at 12:24 p.m. December 27 at an abandoned liquor store in the 3800 block of River Park Drive. According to arson investigators, the juveniles set multiple fires on different floors of the abandoned liquor store which caused considerable damage to the building.

The charges against the teens were upgraded to arson first degree because a firefighter was injured during the blaze. Josiah Bailey, 27, fell from the second story of the building. Bailey underwent surgery for his injuries and is expected to be off the job four months.
