LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police are investigating a home invasion where the resident fought back.

Metrosafe said around 10:00 a.m. Friday, a 20-year-old and his mother were at their home in the 7600 block of Colson Drive when the home invasion occurred.

The 20-year-old got a gun and started firing at the men. One was hit and moments later ended up at the Marathon Station in the 3400 block of Breckenridge Lane.

"That's the info that we have," said Sgt. Robert Biven of Louisville Metro Police. "That he showed up at the Marathon Station, said that he had been robbed and needed medical attention, so EMS did respond, police did as well…led us to this point now."

The man was taken to University Hospital where his injuries are said to be non-life threatening. The other two men are still on the loose. If you have any information, you're urged to call police.
