LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Get ready for southerly winds and warmer weather today as we see mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 50s. While tomorrow will be about as warm as today, clouds will be on the increase during the morning and showers will begin spreading in during the afternoon. The best chance of showers will be on the Kentucky side of the river through Monday and we could see a snowflake or two early Tuesday as cold air moves in.
Tuesday night into Wednesday morning is a period to watch as a reinforcing shot of cold air could generate snow showers that impact the morning commute on Wednesday. Accumulation, if any, looks light but will have to be monitored. A brief warm-up on Thursday back into the 40s will quickly erode away as an even stronger bout of cold air moves in for the end of the week and into the first part of the weekend.
TODAY: Mostly Sunny, High: 52
TONIGHT: Mostly Clear, Increasing Clouds Toward Morning, Low: 43
MONDAY: PM Showers, Mainly in Kentucky, High: 52
TUESDAY: AM Flurries, PM Rain and Snow Showers, High: 46, Low: 31
