Ex-teacher sentenced for inappropriate behavior

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A former Hardin County teacher has been sentenced to ten years in prison after a jury found him guilty of having inappropriate behavior with a minor.

Anthony Durrant, 47, who formerly taught at J.T. Alton Middle School in Vine Grove, was found guilty of using a minor in a sexual performance, using electronic means to introduce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities and possession of matter portraying a sexual by a minor.

Jurors acquitted Durrant on ten counts, including sex abuse.
