LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Construction
crews will widen a St. Matthews road in an effort to increase the roads
capacity and safety.
The Hubbards Lane Widening Project is
a joint effort between Louisville Metro Government, the Kentucky Transportation
Cabinet and the Federal Highway Administration.
The goal of the project is to widen
Hubbards Lane between Shelbyville and Westport Roads to improve bicycle and pedestrian
accessibility from Kresge Way to Westport Road.
Tuesday Metro Councilmembers Ken
Fleming and Tina Ward-Pugh announced a public meeting about the project will be
held on Wednesday, January 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Trinity High School
Auditorium, located at 4011 Shelbyville Road.
