Victim found bound with duct tape following SWAT response

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A victim was found bound with duct tape and three men were taken in to custody following a SWAT situation in Valley Station.

Officers arrested Frederick Brown Jr., 34, Chauncey Shanklin, 33, and Helbert Olivera, 33, Tuesday after they allegedly broke into a home in the 6200 block of Riverdale Road.

According to arrest reports, the men were armed with handguns and demanded cash and property from the victim. The men then bound the victim's arms and legs with duct tape.

All three suspects were immediately caught by police when they fled the home.

Officers recovered two firearms from inside the home.

Police charged Brown with robbery, kidnapping and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Shanklin was charged with robbery and kidnapping

An arrest report states Olivera played a lesser role in the crime and is facing a burglary charge.
