Man pleads guilty to 4 bank robberies

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man accused of robbing four banks in a two week period plead guilty to the robberies.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, on Tuesday Robert Manley admitted to using force, violence and intimidation during the robberies that occurred in December 2012.

The first hold up was on December 20, at the PNC Bank, located at 3910 Taylorsville Road where he made off with $2,170. Then on Christmas Eve officials said he stole approximately $3,580 from the Chase Bank, located at 8120 New LaGrange Road.

Surveillance photos picked up Manley December 27 at the BB&T Bank, located at 10403 Dixie Highway where he left with around $1,510 and cameras spotted him again on New Year's Eve at the River City Bank, located at 2501 Bardstown Road where he stole $4,750.

U.S. Marshals arrested Manley in January 2013 at an apartment off of Poplar Level Road.

Manley plead not guilty to the same crimes on January 2, 2013.

If convicted Manley faces a $1 million fine and 80 years in prison.
